Yukon Nominee Program (YPNP)

The labour market in the Yukon, which has a population of just a little more than 30,000 people, is in desperate need of skilled employees from other countries in order to meet the high demand for skilled and semi-skilled employment.

Streams of the YNP include:

  • Critical Impact Worker
  • Skilled Worker
  • Express Entry

Yukon Community Program (includes a Critical Impact Worker and Skilled Worker stream).

Your stream is determined by the National Occupational Classification (NOC) of the job offer:

  • Occupations in NOC Skill Levels C or D fall under the Critical Impact Worker stream.
  • Occupations in NOC Skill Levels 0, A, or B fall under the Skilled Worker stream.

For instance, if you've been given the opportunity to work as a Food Counter Attendant (NOC code 6711), which places you in the NOC skill level D category, you should submit your application through the Critical Impact Worker stream.
